CSV & Delimited Data Converter
Transform comma, tab, semicolon, or pipe-delimited spreadsheet data into clean Markdown tables or structured JSON arrays.
Direct Excel & Sheets Paste
Copies from Google Sheets and Excel naturally carry tab delimiters. Auto-detection parses raw clipboard blocks directly without requiring an intermediate CSV export.
RFC 4180 Quoted Fields
Preserves cells containing commas, line breaks, or special characters wrapped in quotes (e.g. "Canberra, AU") as a single unified column.
100% Client-Side Memory
Data never touches a server or external API. Safe for proprietary customer records, financial projections, and confidential manifests.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I convert a CSV file to a Markdown table?โผ
Paste your data or upload the file. The Markdown table appears straight away with the first row as the header, ready to copy into GitHub, a README or a wiki.
Does it handle commas and line breaks inside quoted cells?โผ
Yes. It follows the standard CSV rules (RFC 4180), so a quoted cell such as "Brisbane, AU" stays one cell, and doubled quotes inside it are read correctly.
Can I convert tab, semicolon or pipe separated data?โผ
Yes. Choose the delimiter, or leave it on Auto-Detect. Pasting straight from a spreadsheet (tab separated) works, as does European CSV that uses semicolons.
How are numbers handled in the JSON output?โผ
Plain numbers become JSON numbers. Very long values (over 15 significant digits, such as card-style IDs) stay as text so no digits are lost.
What if my data has a pipe character in a cell?โผ
In Markdown output a pipe is escaped so it cannot break the table. Empty or duplicate header names are given unique names in the JSON output.
Is my data sent to a server?โผ
No. The converter runs entirely in your browser, so nothing you enter is uploaded, stored or tracked. Once the page has loaded it keeps working without a connection.
